In December 2022, CUAS graduate and current staff member Ms Venek obtained her doctorate from the University of Salzburg. In her dissertation in the field of sport and exercise science, she investigated the use and effect of sensor technologies in the assessment of movement quality.

Doc.funds.connect FWF project for 7 PhD positions was accepted!

The project is entitled “Interdisciplinary platform for new research methods in the field of demyelinating diseases and brain tumours – where ultrahigh field MRI, histology, and artificial intelligence meet” and it aims to establish new biomarkers in major neurological disorders via the development of new MR imaging methods, machine learning-based data analysis and visualization approaches.

AICI Forum 2022 – CUAS student won award

AICI forum 2022 covered a variety of aspects and applications of artificial intelligence in the medical context. Many students from CUAS joined this onsite event to get a first-hand overview of AI and its current and future footprint. Mr Peter Pfaffeneder, a master’s student of Applied Data Science, with his talk on “Elastomeric sensors for 3d shape sensing” placed 3rd place in the “Best Scientific Presentation” competition – congratulations.
