Medical Engineering is a\u00a0rapidly
\ndeveloping field that combines engineering, physics, mathematics, and computer
\nscience and applies it to medicine, innovating our healthcare system. The
\nhand-in-hand work of academia and medical companies leads to the development of
\nnew diagnostic tools, improvement of monitoring techniques, and design of new
\ntherapeutic devices. Analytics represents another crucial part of modern
\nmedicine, aiming to find patterns in the \u201cbig data\u201d with the view of automatization
\nof data processing and diagnosis assessment.<\/p>\n
Our
\ndegree programs \u2013 a bachelor\u2019s program in Medical Engineering and a master\u2019s program
\nin Medical Engineering and Analytics \u2013 aim to train the next generation of specialists.
\nThey provide the basic knowledge required in this multidisciplinary field,
\nincluding the basics of electrical engineering, physics, medicine, signal
\nprocessing and programming, but keep the main focus on the current \u201chot
\ntopics\u201d, such as Artificial Intelligence and Assistive Technologies.<\/p>\n
Hands-on
\ntraining represents another major part of the curriculum, including several
\npractical exercises in specialized laboratories and projects related to our
\nresearch. The \u201cStudy & Work\u201d program offers our students the opportunity to
\nwork part-time at one of Carinthia’s leading companies and thus gain
\nprofessional experience already during their studies. Both programs offer the
\noption to study work-friendly and the master\u2019s program also to study HyFlex (on-site\/online
\nand even asynchronously). We ensure the highest educational standard, small
\ngroups and personal support, all of that at low tuition fees.\u00a0<\/p>\n
