myMarks information context status update
Since there are a lot of request for the exam marks feature of studentsLife we have recently started to work on that feature (Codename myMarks).
So stay tuned. We expect the first client implementation (Android arch.) ready next week.
studentsLife windows phone 7 client glimps
Let’s say welcome to Marco B.!
Marco is one of our master students (Communication Engineering for IT) and he spontaneously started to work on a studentsLife client for windows phone 7 devices. The first prototype looks very promising and we hope we can add a windows phone 7 client to our smart phone client portfolio in the near future
Marco also told me that he is searching for some team members who are willing to help him implementing the windows phone stuff, so if your are a student from FH Kärnten and interested in win phone 7 development do not hesitate to contact us
studentsLife Android version 1.5 is released
As previously announced, the updated version of the Android App (v1.5) was released on sunday. We took the opportunity to improve the schedule significantly!

Android version, timetable issue
Some of you might have noticed we have had some issues with the timetable feature in the android version. Our android development team Harald and Emanuel just discovered a bug which prevents the back-end to send the requested data in the right format.
We are sorry for the inconvenience. We will update the android version as soon as possible.

We are currently migrating our back-end to Tomcat7. Because of this we will have some short server outages.

studentsLife V2 (Teal’c)
During the last months we had some major changes concerning our internal project structure.
The studentsLife project migrated (partial) from a student project to an internal project driven by two main developers Markus Prossegger (Android), Mario Wehr (iPhone /Data-Backend). The Android part will be mainly developed by students (@ Network Engineering and Communication), supervised by Markus, and the iPhone and Data-Backend will be internal developed by Mario @ Medical Information Technology.
Currently we are concerned with the overall redesign of our database and backend-services focusing on the release of version 2.0 (Teal’c) of Android and iPhone Clients. The new major version will have a punch of new features for our students.
We expect the new versions ready in August 2011, …. so stay tuned
